Comparative Life Cycle Assessment of Aquaponics and Hydroponics- Peng Chen, Gaotian Zhu, Hye-Ji Kim, Paul Brown, Jen-yi Huang


The study compare the environmental impacts of producing food with aquaponics and hydroponics. In the case of this study, hydroponics has about twice as much impacts on fossil fuel depletion, global warming potential, acidification and eutrophication.
