Genetics of drug content in feral, clinical and industrial Cannabis. Cannabis has been cultivated for thousands of years for durable fibers, nutritious seeds, and psychoactive drugs. Most Cannabis research in the U.S. focuses on the effect of the drug on the human body but there is much to be learned about the genetics of industrial hemp. This talk presents the results of the only Cannabis genetic study permitted by the U.S. federal government since 2002. Findings are likely to challenge opinions on all sides of the public debate concerning Cannabis.
