Dr. Charles Mansfield is coordinator of the Vincennes University/Purdue University Cooperative Agriculture Transfer Program and Extension Agronomist for Purdue. He has a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University in Plant and Soil Science, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Crop Management from the University of Florida.
In his Extension role, he conducts applied research on winter crops, primarily wheat and canola, and has strong interest in industrial hemp as a component for cropping systems of the Lower Midwest and Mid‑South regions. His current research is focused on seeding rates and nitrogen fertilization of industrial hemp as well as herbicide screen.
