Author Bio

Kelly Heckaman is currently serving as the Purdue Extension as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator in Kosciusko County and has been in this position for 24 years. Her passion for dairy led her from the small Fulton County town of Rochester to The Ohio State University for a bachelors and to the University of Wisconsin- Madison for a master’s degree in dairy genetics.  Kelly's  Extension programming currently focuses on Succession Planning, Women in Agriculture, Farm Business Management, home horticulture and dairy youth activities. Three things she can’t live without are her family, cows, and chocolate.
