Dr. Liz Maynard serves as an Extension specialist for vegetable crops in Purdue’s Dept. of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. She spends most of her time developing educational programs and conducting applied research to support sustainable vegetable farming. Her office is in Valparaiso and research trials are at the Pinney Purdue Ag Center in Wanatah, Indiana.  Understanding Soil Tests [Wenjing is the lead on this presentation so I expect she will provide abstract]  Organic Transplant Production Several commercially available growing media are approved for use in production of certified organic transplants. In this session we will present information gathered during a two-year research project comparing several of these media approved for vegetable transplant production.   Poster Session Sweet Corn Variety Trial Results for 2019 New varieties enter the market every year. Field trials in northern Indiana in 2019 generated information about yield, plant, and ear characteristics of 20 supersweet (sh2) sweet corn varieties.
